The tradition of true hospitality finds its roots at the Mediterranean Beach Hotel. Situated on one of the most beautiful sandy bays of Limassol, the hotel's unique location offers guests spectacular views of the south coastline of the island. A new modern environment composes a setting of charm and aesthetic luxury. Bright and lively colours in the public areas and on the building itself portray senses of the sea, sky, earth and the greenery beyond. The blend of wood-lining on the walls and white marble in the hotel's spacious lobbies, together with the combination of leather furnishings and the use of local stone in the external areas are a few of the features that give a new face to the hotel's image, providing guests with the ultimate resort for an unforgettable experience.
Connecting the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa, the Mediterranean Sea has been the passage to the East part of the world since ancient times, for conquering, commencing and spreading cultures. Approximately half a mile from the hotel lays the ancient town of Amathounta, believed to be the first inhabitant city of Limassol. The pathway in front of the hotel connects it to this important archaeological site.
THE GARDENS
A true paradise of colourful flowers and plants, the hotel's lush gardens are part of the ecological wealth of the area; palms, jasmine, lavender and herbs will take you in a utopia of aromas. The gardens lead guests directly on to the beach.
THE BEACH
The beach in front of the Mediterranean has been consecutively awarded with the Blue Flag Beach Award for the past ten years, presented for its crystal clear waters, as well as environmental awareness.
DINING
Dining is a key element at the hotel's restaurants. A unique, mouth-watering experience can be tasted at the six restaurants of the hotel according to appetite. Gourmet meals, Cyprus and International cuisine or light meals are offered using fresh local ingredients
CÉLESTE RESTAURANT and CÉLESTE TERRACE RESTAURANT
The Céleste restaurant serves extensive a la carte, table d'hote menus and themed buffets on a daily basis with elegance and style. During the summer months the Céleste terrace is operated overlooking the hotel's gardens, multilevel pools and sea. Part of this is a wooden timbered decking which allows guests to dine right on top of the pool's waters and waterfalls. The views here at night are simply unique. There is seating for approximately 350 people inside and 220 people outside.
AQUARIA RESTAURANT
The Aquaria restaurant boasts a more casual environment overlooking the pool and sea and serves a sumptuous buffet breakfast with live cooking, a table d' hote menu, lunch or snacks. The focal point being the aquarium, the restaurant is also decorated with elements reminiscent of the sea and the sky.
NAUTICA BISTRO
The Nautica Bistro operates during the summer months and is close to the beach, offering a popular selection of a la carte specialities such as pastas, fresh fish and local meze as well as buffet lunch. The all-white timber pergolas and furniture with its climbing vine that grows fresh grapes every year add a very relaxing note to the whole nautical setting. There is a seating for approximately 150 people.
Ristorante Bacco
The Ristorante Bacco offers exceptional authentic Italian cuisine originating from Tuscany. Here our Chefs present a wide selection of fresh, home-made pastas, tender meat and fish dishes using the finest, fresh ingredients. Bacco is a privately owned chain of restaurants and can also be found in Tuscany, Berlin, Samara and Kos.
Shumi Sushi Bar
This unique Sushi Bar offers sumptuous specialities that combine traditional Japanese ingredients and techniques with western fare, in what has come to be known as Fusion Cuisine. At Shumi Sushi Bar you can indulge in a tasty array of innovative Japanese dishes and delicacies.
THE BARS:
CLOUDS LOUNGE BAR
Situated at the heart of the hotel in the main lobby, the Clouds Lounge Bar offers a spectacular view of the gardens and the sea. Leather and garment comfortable furniture, a blend of white marble, wood and the beautifully-lit clouds formed on the ceilings, compose a comfortable environment. An extensive selection of coffees, hot beverages, hot and cold snacks, cakes and pastries is offered throughout the day.
THE BLUE BAR
As the night progresses the Blue Bar lightens up. This bar is themed around the shades of water and the sky with constellations. Intimate seating allows for privacy while the glazed terrace outside offers additional seating overlooking the pools, gardens and the stars above.
LAGOON POOL BAR
The Pool Bar operates at the same height as the Pool water. In addition, a pergola-covered sitting area created with designer sofas and armchairs serves refreshing cocktails, a variety of cold snacks along with freshly squeezed juices.
OUZERI TIS MYRTOS
Overlooking the swimming pool area, this traditional ouzeri with its wooden tables and straw chairs offers homemade delicacies from around the island. Enjoy a game of tavli (backgammon) with a glass of local ouzo with tasty hand-picked accompaniments or taste an authentic Greek pitta with souvlaki.
ACCOMMODATION
The Mediterranean offers a variety of accommodation ranging from Deluxe bedrooms with inland and sea view to Family rooms with inland, pool and sea views, Superior rooms and Luxury studios, making the hotel ideal for families and couples of all ages. Facilities also cater for business travellers in the Luxury Studios with a separate sitting area and Wi-Fi access available. All bedrooms have been carefully designed using materials and soft furnishings in warm earthly colours, partial parquet flooring, ochre and terracotta. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom, central air-conditioning/heating, direct dial telephone, radio, safe deposit box, interactive TV message system, hairdryer in the bedrooms, mini bar, colour satellite TV with in-house pay movie channels, balcony or terrace. Wheelchair access to all floors, restaurants and bars is also available.
DELUXE ROOMS
These comfortable and pleasantly decorated rooms are available with four different views of the hotel and its surroundings. Rooms on the North side offer inland view of the hills and mountains beyond. The South-facing rooms overlook the hotel gardens, or the sea. These rooms can accommodate up to 3 persons, a child's bed or cot can be supplied on request.
FAMILY ROOMS
Family Rooms have en-suite bathrooms with bath and hand shower, W.C., Mini Bar, Safe, LCD-TV with video on demand channels, a separate parlour with comfortable sitting space, a pull-out bed and a terrace or balcony. They come with views facing the inland, the gardens or the sea and are available with parquet or carpet flooring.
These rooms can accommodate families with two children under 12 years of age.
SUPERIOR ROOMS
These rooms are bigger than the regular rooms and have two large single beds or one double bed and a sitting area. Each has its own private balcony overlooking the pool and sea and free in-room coffee and tea making facilities. Superior rooms can accommodate up to two adults only (16 years old and above). Wi-Fi access is also available, free of charge.
LUXURY STUDIOS
These generously proportional rooms are luxuriously furnished and offer a spacious sitting area and bathroom complete with bathrobes and sleepers. Guests can enjoy the 28" television from the comfort of a king-sized bed and enjoy complimentary tea or coffee making facilities. Each luxury studio can accommodate up to two adults in a double bed and opens onto a large balcony or private patio overlooking the pool and the sea. Here you can indulge in a truly luxurious atmosphere. Wi-Fi access is also available, free of charge.
AVRA SUITE
Original artwork, leather chairs and a polished wood writing desk gives this suite the feeling of an exclusive gentleman's club. Original antiquities grace the well-lit bookshelf, adding to the prestigious atmosphere. The lavishly furnished bedroom features a king-sized bed and a separate vanity area leading through to a large, luxuriously appointed bathroom with jacuzzi. A second en-suite bedroom is available for children or other additional guests via a connecting door to the lounge area. Wi-Fi access is also available, free of charge.
ARETI SUITE
The Areti is a home away from home. A round table for four can extend to accommodate six for dining, or a business meeting. Relax in the comfortable wingback chairs and enjoy the view of the gardens, pool and sea, or the colourful original paintings. In the bedroom there are two inviting queen sized beds covered in a gold, coral and lime green spread. A large mirrored wardrobe flanks the elegant, granite-floral bathroom. A second en-suite bedroom is available for children or other additional guests via a connecting door to the lounge area.
ALKIONE SUITE
This light and airy suite is furnished in fashionable limed wood and pastel plaid fabrics that complement the blues and silvery green of the eucalyptus trees that can be seen through its windows. Walk out on the balcony and enjoy the breathtaking view of the curving breakwater beyond the pool and gardens. A sitting area in the lounge includes a couch that folds out into a second double bed. The master bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed and its own sitting area off the balcony. The light and relaxed atmosphere of this cheerfully elegant suite makes it the perfect place for a honeymoon dream vacation or less formal meetings. Wi-Fi access is also available, free of charge.
AQUUM HEALTH SPA
If relaxation is on your agenda, a visit to the Aquum Health Spa is a must. The Aquum offers the ultimate escape with its exclusive selection of pampering treatments including reflexology, designed to de-stress, relax and revitalise the mind, body and soul. The health club also features a Hydro massage, Sauna, Hamam, a Pilates and aerobics studio with a fully qualified personal instructor, an indoor heated pool, one floodlit outdoor tennis court, and a fully equipped Gym.
GUEST SERVICES
A 07:00 - 22:00 hrs room service is provided in order for every guest to be accommodated in the most comfortable way. In-house services include an upgraded a la carte menu, a gift shop, a jewellery shop, a souvenir shop, a hairdressing salon, laundry, a three-level parking lot, a foreign exchange desk, secretarial services as well as an Internet corner and a Wi-Fi system. Guests have also the commodity of car rental arrangement (and limousine services) and a variety of local excursions and cruises. The hotel also provides full facilities for disabled guests.
LEISURE FACILITIES
The split-level outdoor pool with its stone cave arcaded area within is surrounded by the gardens and is an idyllic concept combining mountain and sea. An indoor heated pool, a high tech gym, a Pilates and aerobics studio with a private instructor, a 5* padi scuba diving center in the hotel, a variety of water sports and one floodlit tennis court for the athletic minded are all available. A supervised children's club operates from April to October as well as during the Christmas, New Year and Easter periods. The club includes baby-sitting facilities on request, an outdoor amusement centre with video games and two billiard tables, an outdoor pool and playground.
MEETING FACILITIES
The Ionia high ceiling conference room has the option to operate in four functions: Classroom, Boardroom, Theatre and U-Shape according to occasion. It hosts from 5 up to 250 people. All modern audiovisual equipment is on hire including simultaneous translation facilities for up to five languages and LCD projectors. The Aegean I, II, and III conference rooms, connected with a pre-function area, have a maximum total capacity of up to 270 persons. For smaller functions, the Karavi syndicate room provides the ideal venue. The meticulous planning of every conceivable detail from the hotel's banqueting department will ensure a resounding success.
